Following the discontinuation of Google Business Messages, businesses can now integrate their WhatsApp number directly into their Google My Business profile. This integration allows customers to contact you via WhatsApp directly from your Google listing on mobile devices.
1. Verify access to your business
Make sure you are logged into Google using the account that manages your Google My Business profile.
In the search bar, type “My Business” and click “View profile.”
2. Open your profile settings
Click on “Edit profile.”
3. Configure the WhatsApp contact option
- Go to the “Contact” section.
- Click the pencil icon next to “Chat / Message” (the label may vary).
4. Add your WhatsApp number
Select “WhatsApp” and paste your link.
